A gold framed 17th-century painting, rectangular but with an arched top, that depicts the scene of the birth of a baby. There are at least 10 women and girls surrounding the baby, depicted at bottom center, over a large pan of water. The mother, in bed, is visible in the background toward the right edge of the artwork. Within the arch at the top, seated on a cloud, is one angel painted in color at full length, and the heads of two cherubim sketched in brown or red paint.
