Yes! I can't and won't argue that. I work 9-5 in disability support, and know those peeps likely already use text-to-speech apps like Read&Write or NaturalReader to vocalize text without feeding your work into the AI dataset.

I cannot stress enough how important HEARING my work being read back in my voice is to my editing. But having it read back HOW IT IS WRITTEN is even more important. I made an AI version of my voice, and have it read my book back to me in NaturalReader and it's amazing.

For whatever reason, the best TTS readers (NaturalReader and ElevenLabs) both handle epubs strangely but are great with pdfs

for those who know smt but not gizz: Gizz’s 10th studio album, Murder of the Universe, features spoken word throughout. the final 1/3rd of the album is narrated by a NaturalReader tts voice. i replaced this with the voice from the nocturne ost (Mac OS’s Albert) because i thought it would be funny :)
