🌊🌳 Coill Sheanadh Gharráin and Camcor Wood showcase the importance of Ireland's riparian woodlands.

These riverbank forests help keep water clean, reduce erosion, support wildlife, and provide natural flood protection.

Healthy rivers need healthy woodlands. 🌿

🌿🔴 At Girley Bog, the Round-leaved Sundew shows just how remarkable Ireland's peatlands can be.

One of our native carnivorous plants, it traps insects with sticky leaves to obtain nutrients missing from bog soils.

Irish birders, some help please? Are the winter WAGTAIL roosts at Grand Parade in Cork and O'Connell St in Dublin still there? Any other urban wagtail roosts? (I know about the one at Lexicon in Dun L). Thank you 🙏🙏 #irishbirds #irishbirding #natureireland
