China has just started mass production of sodium batteries. (CATL's naxtra battery)These are going into vehicles this year. Likely will end up in energy storage too. Obviously sodium is easy to source and cheaper than lithium.

Wow 458 (Wh/kg) is wayyyy better than the Naxtra sodium batteries CATL is now selling (175 Wh/kg). I bet the Vanadium pushes the cell cost way above the $19/kWh they're selling Naxtra cells for now. Nice to see an energy dense pathway for sodium though, hopefully they can keep the price low.
