Had a fantastic time at the #NCTE24 conference! On my panel, I discussed free verse poetry and teaching students how to write it to help them talk about important nature-related topics. Thanks to @WebofLifeBooks, I was also able to give away previews of my picture book, Mud to the Rescue! 📚🐘 #kidlit

Magination Press, which is part of American Psychological Association, is the publisher of How Are You, Verity? They sent me to #NCTE24. Jason tried to offer me a copy of the APA Style guide. A book I declined. !! But to be fair, I’m also a psychology prof so how many copies do I need?

I remember when I started in higher ed and I was pleasantly surprised that publishers sent you book. They just send them. Free books.

A great last (full) day at #NCTE24 in Boston! I got to sign at the Corwin booth, present with my dear friends (The Notebook Nerds), visit a LOVELY book shop (Beacon Hill), and finish up with ramen and shopping in China town.
