I was obsessed in the pre-internet days w/Nellcôte and Stones recording of Exile on Main Street in France. I wondered wtf kinda crazy, scuzzy looking place was that recorded in to sound like that, right? Imagine my surprise when I found out it looked like this lol.

In 1971 French photographer Dominque Tarlé spent 6 months immersed in the heady haze that was the Belle Époque mansion Villa Nellcôte on the Côte d’Azur during the (in) famous ‘Exile On Main Street’ sessions. Happy to have come across him in the Marais. And that he’s still here.
