I spent a lot of last month grinding on NetFishing, making it the best it can be despite its joke premise. (I'm a sucker for a high-commitment bit.) By the end, I started getting burnout headaches, but I've been taking it easy the past couple days. Anyway, I wore fishnets to celebrate the release.

I just watched a Sea Shepherd US video in which they return from anchorage to discover Netfishing in the Zero Tolerance Area of Vaquita Refuge.

They speed up & the boats flee when they get within 4 miles.

They boast of drones with 10 km capability yet don’t make use of their technology. 🤨

Sea Shepherd US no longer show Daily Observations of fishing in the Vaquita Refuge.

Instead they show “random” dates like
28th November, 2024 when bad weather resulted in port closure for the entire day.

Why don’t they show the day last month when 80 pangas were in the Zero Tolerance Area?

On 1 March the netfishing season was opened in #Rodrigues, traditionally an event attracting crowds too. This year at Plaine Corail.Until now I couldn't find figures of the catch but I was told it was not bad.
