Herzlichen Glückwunsch zur Förderung NeuroCure! Seit 2007 erforscht der Exzellenzcluster NeuroCure an der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin neurologische und psychiatrische Erkrankungen sowie die komplexen Mechanismen des gesunden Gehirns. Gefördert durch die Exzellenzinitiative und seit 2019 durch die Exzellenzstrategie des Bundes und der Länder, hat NeuroCure die neurowissenschaftliche Forschung in Berlin maßgeblich geprägt. Mit über 40 neuen Forschungsgruppen und modernster Infrastruktur stärkt der Cluster nachhaltig den Wissenschaftsstandort Berlin. Ein zentraler Fokus liegt auf der engen Verbindung von Grundlagenforschung und klinischer Anwendung, um wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse schneller in Therapien umzusetzen. Dabei kommen vielfältige Methoden wie molekulare Analysen und bildgebende Verfahren zum Einsatz. Ziel ist es, sowohl übergreifende Mechanismen bei neurologischen Erkrankungen wie Parkinson, Demenz oder Depression zu entschlüsseln als auch neue Behandlungsansätze zu entwickeln. Durch diese Arbeiten positioniert sich NeuroCure als Wegbereiter in der Neurowissenschaft. Ein vertieftes Verständnis des gesunden und erkrankten Gehirns ist entscheidend, um gezielte Therapien zu entwickeln und neurologische sowie psychiatrische Erkrankungen effektiver zu behandeln.
