#NeuroMechFly
If you expand the thinking block, it says 'failed to fetch', so it wasn't actually looking at the NeuroMechFly v2 architecture when it replied to you. The Nature paper that it refers to in its reply is something different.

#drosophila #simulation just got upgraded with the drop of NeuroMechFly v2: doi.org/10.1038/s415... seems it can now even navigate complex odour plumes! Besides the substantial value this provides research, I wonder if this could be used to program animal behaviour in video games too?! Cool

The Nature article it links to is paywalled, but the preprint of that paper is fine for the purposes of understanding the NeuroMechFly v2 methodology. Ask your favourite SOTA LLM friend whether the Subtack post faithfully represents the actual work.

Try out the new version of #NeuroMechFly!
Excited to release a new version of #FlyGym, our Python library for the fly neuromechanical model #NeuroMechFly!

You can now simulate thousands of flies in parallel on the GPU, leading to a ~300x speed-up on a single RTX 4090. CPU simulation is also ~10x faster.
