And the weirdest: At once a PROPER #Neurotyrant AND a less offensive (for me) solution for a Flying #HiveTyrant.
This one was heavily inspired by Persnickety Sculptor on Instagram, and also Onslaught, the X-Men Uber bad who hit me at a formative time in my youth. #Tyranids

Knife and Groxhide were both eaten by the Neurotyrant, Buckshot was killed in the explosion (her last words were "blow it!" to Doc, even though she was right next to the charge too). Doc and all the stormtroopers died in the collapse of the tunnel. Only Short Count and Socket escaped.

Breaking through into a deep cavern, the team find a terrifying Neurotyrant and dozens of Genestealers. Grappling with terrifying psychic visions, and even turning their guns on one another, they finally bring down the beast, although only two survive.

Hey! My artist friend is having some car troubles and needs some funds and is doing an emergency adopt over on their FA.
If you are interested in a Warhammer 40k character and want to help they could use it!

With Tyranid Parasite of Mortrex & Red Terror return as unit in game, curious will we get to see Doom of Malan'tai in foreseeable future as well.
Expected it to be an more powerful version Neurotyrant

The collection expands to the third shelf!
Definitely feels like the Psycophage is a bit out of place with the orange, and as one of the first I painted without a plan, it's definitely a lot rougher.
Maybe I'll strip it at some point when I'm through my current pile of shame...

It’s too bad the Barbgaunts, Neurogaunts, Von Ryan’s Leapers, Neurotyrant, and Neurolictor don’t have rules in Oldhammer / Midhammer, because I REALLY like the models.
(though Neurotyrant can be run as The Doom Of Malantai, I suppose)

I love weird looking nids (hence my love of stuff like the neurotyrant, barbgaunts, toxicrene, spore mines, tyrannocytes, etc). But the weirdness should follow the recognizable pattern of “six limbed ripper drastically mutated in various ways”.

#hobbystreak Day 2193: solidified the two carapace patterns. They're both a bit lacking and flat currently. May try a dot pattern like I did on a neurotyrant a while back

A slightly later than usual post today, the flu is beating me up real bad right now.
But what a difference even just a little work on the basing makes!

I've had less time to paint minis in 2023, but I've done some work I'm proud of. Lots more practice with freehand and oil paints. At one point, I won a big gold hammer (not pictured.)

Finally got my little present I ordered like a week ago
Not so much the screamer killer on the right, but absolutely wanted the neurotyrant on the left for my warlord

Getting a base color for the claws/teeth that feels right (1 part Monument Dark Ivory & 1 part Monument Ivory) hits different; now to settle on the right highlight and this color scheme’s gonna be cooking. Just need to get better at carving out time… #warhammer #miniatures

Quick family photo before everyone went in the case, first time I've run a tyranid list and everything fits in one box 🤣
Very proud of how much painting I got done too, only thing without at least two colours is the bootleg raveners.
+ Bonus sticker I treated myself to
