Originally, I wasn't planning on having Mirwen romance anyone. The only reason why I had them choose Lucanis is because I don't really like Nevecanis. No hate for the ship itself or Neve- Neve's in fact one of my favorites - I just can't see it.

Yes, she chose Minrathous over Treviso because that’s her home and she swore to defend it while trying to save it from itself. I maintain a throuple with Nevecanis should be possible with a SD Rook since Neve and Nova had the same exact motivations for wanting to save Minrathous. 😤 Give me my OT3!

honestly i do see it and i think it's like Okay but it's also giving putting the two most conventionally attractive guys together despite there being not that much basis for it in canon just like dorian/cullen lmaoo and people hating nevecanis + misogyny adds to it too

Maybe I am boring that I only really like Rookanis, Nevecanis and Emmcanis as far as Lucanis involved ships go. I don't see it as a big deal, though, not everyone ships everyone with everyone.

Yeah I'm not a fan of nevecanis....it just feels so forced in and makes zero sense for Lucanis as a character....the fact it just lazily uses parts of the rook Lucanis romance ..not a fan ...

Then for him to ultimately romance her stings, because she makes the same decision you would. It's hypocrisy. Why would Lucanis punish Rook for that?
Not to say Nevecanis isn't cute as hell. Personally, I feel like Davrin and Lucanis has more there regarding chemistry. Tall king + short king vibes.

Not to say that folks are justified in tearing down his identity, but the lack of quality in his romance does make Rookanis feel a bit more forced than Nevecanis.
