I don't understand how this can happen.
-it's not only against the law from the 2015 coal phase out rule, but the Harper-era max 50 years of life law.
-Makes no sense from a cost perspective (yes, mining coal costs money, unlike what the article says)

They'll take it all within 6 months and all he really wants to remove are the rebates much of Canada receives. Harper created the need for this tax when he signed onto the Paris climate agreements so the Cons aren't actually against it, they'll just change it, give it a new name and keep the money.
