Just like the NAB, Sinclair Broadcasting doesn't want you commenting on their TV ad promoting NextgenTV. Mainly because they don't want people to know their encryption has made NextGenTVs prohibitively expensive and confusing to use. Good luck finding one at retail.

The Super Bowl has had an HD broadcast in 16:9 for 20 years. I'm not sure how many have been broadcast in 4K so far, and how many of those were OTA (NextGenTV).

My Gen1 ADTH NextGenTV Box has the opposite problem since Thursday. If connected to the Internet the DRM Channels will give me the this Channel is Protected error. If I disconnect it from the Internet, the DRM Channels load fine. Here's a video showing what happens.

I have a partial DVR recording of it. After 4 hours, 51 minutes of recording, my DVR crashed 21 minutes into this special. One of the issues I've been dealing with with the ADTH NextGenTV Box Beta DVR Feature, but hey there's a reason it's still in Beta.
