A text claiming to be from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, citing a ticket I didn’t get and penalties under a non-existent law. The kicker is that it is from an overseas cell phone number. I live in Virginia and worked in management for a state agency, and *I* don’t have a work-issued cell, but if I did, I promise it’d be some janky lowest bidder Straight Talk TracFone bullshit with an Ashland prefix.
