8. Night Life

Frenetic slice of 80s quasi Hi-NRG style pop underpinned by a theatrical, almost “musical opener” energy

2. Fire with Fire

Not a big hit in Aus but #1 on US dance charts, this heartfelt, inspiring pumping tune is a great kickstarter some mornings.

6. Any Which Way

2nd single was so catchy yet not a big hit. Memorable saucy lyrics with a great video with Ana Matronic stealing the show.

5. Harder You Get

That late 70s/early eighties rock disco sleaze of bands like the Skatt Bros. & Kiss sizzles on this sexy post-disco sonic adventure. So much fun.

As fave album fell just out the 00s, combining the love; a joyous camp combo who brightened the music landscape with wild glee & fresh abandon. Babydaddy, Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Del Marquis, Paddy Boom & Randy Real✨

7. Sex & Violence

ReCapturing/ tribute to the 80s sound of Bronski Beat with a nod to the sounds of THe The & Blancmange. Not as immediately accessible as some other tracks but has become a grower fave.

3. Night Work

The music/disco life can feel like the real full time job as a young devotee and this song captures this energy with such joy, another album track that could have been a single for me.

9. Whole New Way

Irresistible pop funk sass captures the essence of Scissor Sisters magic in a sharp 2 minute tune. Deliciously tight sound with the band in their prime and tasty lyrical punch.

As my fave album falls just outside 00s … Fave-double

10. Invisible Light
The final single was a new wave 80s flashback with a chorus that so Kim Wilde to me; with strands of Pet Shop Boys, Visage & Frankie.
