It’s #PortfolioDay again!

I’m a fantasy artist and love to draw characters, OCs, and romance!

I’m active in the #bg3, #dnd, and #DragonAge fandoms and dabble in #ff14.

I may soon be taking commissions again!

Check out more of my art with the #nixmoriarty tag~

This is a more stylized portrait than I usually do. I was looking at a screenshot from the game and working off of that. My thoughts on this one was the kinds of miniature portraits people used to commission for their wedding.

It’s my birthday! 🎂 Fuck America! 🔥 Let’s celebrate that I EXIST today! It’s the one day a year I can indulge in a smidge of narcissism.

These are a few of my favorite pieces of art from the last few years. Please share if inclined and have a beautiful day!

Okay! I THINK I’ve rounded up all my Emmrich art from the past year so I’m gonna put it all in this thread for #DragonAgeDay! Feel free to mute the thread, this is all stuff you’ve all seen a lot already, but I’m really proud of how much I’ve made. 🧵 🪡

I wasn’t sure I wanted to post this one, but here goes. This is also a study and I’ll post the reference in the comments. I saw the image and just wanted to paint Emmrich and Laelia together being soft and comfy.

This week has been challenging so sketched myself a treato. I’ve been wanting to practice how faces squish while smooching as well. I’ll probably be doing more of these periodically.

Dragon Age the Veilguard fanart. Emmrich Volkarin smooches Rook (elf, Laelia Aldwir). The drawing is digital, but emulates a conté sketch on warm toned paper with white highlights.

Emmrich Volkarin embraces dwarven Rook Herja and kisses her while she has her arms lovingly around his neck. She’s wearing a black lacy nightgown and he’s wearing his casual clothes. She also wears some of his jewelry.

Did a quick little sketch style study tonight of Hans Holbein’s Tudor portraits which are just stunning. Didn’t quite capture the subtlety of his chalk layers, but not bad for a first crack at it, I think. Timelapse in the replies.

Subject is my Rook from #dragonage!

Made this as my half of an art exchange with @muitamaita.bsky.social ! Her beautiful Rook with Lucanis.

#dragonage #rookanis #lucanis #rook #nixmoriarty
A pale woman (Rook) with long flowing black hair is embraced lovingly by a man (Lucanis) with dark angel-like wings spread high above them. Swirls of magic engulf them as the radiant sun blazes behind them, creating a backlit appearance. The colors grade from pale teal to a dark orangey-yellow to a deep, low saturated blue at the top. The woman is clothed in a death shroud.

“Date Night”

Another Leyendecker-inspired #Emmrich drawing for Valentine’s Day!

| #DragonAge | #EmmrichVolkarin | #Nixmoriarty |
A painting done in a style and pose inspired by the artist Leyendecker of Emmrich Volkarin from Dragon Age the Veilguard checking himself in a mirror before he heads out for a date with Rook. A mirror hangs on a sea-foam green wall. The mirror has a vaguely art-deco inspired gold frame, with lots of right angles and a gem shape in the top. In the mirror, Emmrich is reflected. He’s straightening his tie pin, which sits over the knot of a cream-colored cravat. His hair is neat and he’s wearing a cream-colored shirt with loose sleeves and armbands to hold them in place. Over his shirt is a red vest with pink lapels. His trousers are pleated and a slightly darker red than his vest. He also sports most of his canonical grave gold but no glove. He carries a bouquet of flowers with Shroud’s kiss, lilies, gladiolus, and something similar to baby’s breath. Behind him is a window with blue/green lighting with sheer maroon curtains hanging down the sides.

Emmrich Volkarin and Rook from Dragon Age Veilguard on their wedding day. Behind them in a gold filigree background with watercolor splashes of pinks and greens behind them. Emmrich wears a jacket that’s a deep lilac color with green/teal and cold accents. Most of his rings are missing, only wearing his wedding band on this special day. Rook (Laelia) is wearing a light, regency/-inspired dress and updo. Her dress is white and accented with lace and (fake)Shroud’s Kiss flowers. She wears a real flower in her hair and Emmrich wears one on his lapel. They both look lovingly into each other’s eyes.

Virgin/Whore

More original OC art of Sister Florence ♥️

| #nixmoriarty | #NixOC | #art |
Color palette: primarily teal blue, dark teal blue, white, hints of pink, and red. Scene: A portrait of a woman. The background is split, with half dark teal-blue and half bright red, with the red block tilted at an angle rather than straight up and down. The angled half background is carried into the portrait, with half of the woman in front of the dark teal-blue background dressed as a nun shadowed in darkness (sister Florence). The half in front of the dark red is wearing nothing and her skin is illuminated stark white with bright red lips, rouged cheeks, painted red nails, dark eye makeup and a cross earring (Rhoswen). Sister Florence/Rhoswen has a prominent scar across her lips that is visible on both sides.

Hawke and Fenris reunite and make up after their respective solo adventures.

This one was fun because they’re much closer in height than my other canon pairings. Fenris is almost certainly on his tippy toes 🤭

Dragon Age 2 fanart. Digital sketch emulating the look of red conté chalk on beige paper, with white chalk highlights. Fenris has his shorter haircut and clothes from the Blue Wraith comic, while female Hawke wears her default casual clothes and short haircut from the DA2 game.
