@DerLogiker Vielleicht ist als Mount-Option "noauto" angegeben, was den automatischen mount verhindert... Wenn keine solche angegeben ist und auch kein "auto", dann probier mal "auto" hinzuzufügen...

Okay, so here's my fstab file, rebuilt from scratch in a live OS. Assuming the UUIDs, types, and mount points are correct, can anyone see anything wrong with this?
(The bottom drive,"Fat", is just a little partition I keep clear in case I ever need to install Windows, hence the "noauto" option)

it was this weird situation where old kernels would ask for a password and new ones didn't, and i didn't know the information path.
the answer was to change /etc/crypttab to remove noauto and then make a new initramfs using dracut.

i wanted my encrypted disk to automatically decrypt, and i set some settings that were wrong. new kernels arrived and it made an initramfs that was borked. in particular the 'noauto' (do not automatically mount at boot) was accidentally turned on for the disk, so it stopped asking for a password

TO BE FAIR sist var min feil, skriveleif i /etc/fstab og glemt å sette på noauto.

'noauto' and/or 'nofail' are your friends. For NFS, there is 'bg'. Completely standards-compliant.
