I saw a video clip with a health official wearing nothing but standard clothing and respirator, greeting healthcare workers wearing a 💩 tonne of plastic, no respirator.

One poor worker had the straps of the surgical mask wrapped over his head trying to get a better fit.

"Similar" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. It might have been better to say here's a surgical mask with window, but it is in no way suitable in situations where ≥FFP2 respirator is required.
