Their ears are airplaned and his hair is messy. He's clutching a coffee cup close to his core. Their expression is weary and nervous. Lyle is looking up as though speaking to someone standing above them. There is an assortment of fallen red, yellow, and orange leaves on the grass behind them.

The wallpaper is a shade of green. Noct: "I remember my college had a gloryhole in the library." Panel 2: Focus on Lyle, upside-down with their arms crossed over their chest. He's wearing a red shirt and gray sweatpants. Lyle: "Same! Mine had an STI outbreak in the freshman dorm." Panel 3: Noct turns to Lyle. As he begins speaking, Lyle begins to speak in tandem about the same event. Noct and Lyle: "And then there were those goofs who snuck into the Morey building." Panel 4: Lyle suddenly sits up to meet Noct's shocked expression. There is a moment of silence. Panel 5: Lyle hops off the couch to stand behind it and has an expression equally as shocked as Noct's. Noct turns to face Lyle. Noct and Lyle: "You went to Pinlake-U too!?"

His ears are slightly airplaned. Lyle's wearing a purple sleeveless crop top, pale blue skirt, black choker, and a purple bracelet on their left arm. Lyle: (Mmmn...) Panel 3: Lyle looks down, with a slight blush and a more worried look. A strange gray imp hangs around his shoulder, tendrils draping down Lyle's arm. Lyle: (C'mon, it's not like it's the first time you've dressed like this. Noct won't be like that, don't be nervous.) Panel 4: The imp speaks Lyle's vitriolic self-doubt and dysphoria back at him. Imp: "Of course he would. You're disgusting. This enby nonsense is just you running from your manhood. He'd just see a gross-looking-" Panel 5: Noct walks by while Lyle continues to spiral around the corner. Panel 6: Lyle looks up from their hands cradling their face. Noct: "Lyle?" Panel 7: Noct greets Lyle excitedly. Lyle performs a little flourish, despite feeling somewhat strained by the earlier spiral. Noct: "Whoa, that's really you! You look great!" Lyle: "R-really?" Noct: "Yeah, you oughta give me some fashion tips!"

There is a box, broken bottle, and stray piece of cardboard behind him. It is raining. ???: "Hey!" Panel 2: Low angle of Liam (He/Him), a rabbit similar to Lyle with dark brown locs. He's under a blue umbrella addressing David. Liam: "Need an umbrella?" Panel 3: Liam's POV of David, sitting low on the staircase. David: "Y-yeah. Thanks." Panel 4: Wide shot of Liam and David sitting across from each other, Liam finding a gray crate to sit on. Liam has given his blue umbrella to David, who has it under his hand. Liam: "D'you live out here? I've seen you around here and there." David: "Yeah, since I was kicked out." Panel 5: Liam: "You were? I know someone who can help! You've probably seen her around too. Speaking of- Do I know you from somewhere else?" David blushes somewhat and is set aback by someone trying to help him. Panel 6: David: "I-I do, thanks... Mr. Solomon." Lyle: "Noct, hiiiii~" Panel 2: Noct holds up a peace sign to Lyle. He's wearing a salmon-colored hoodie and gray pants. The fountain can be seen, devoid of water today. Noct: "'Sup Lyle, what's the plan today?" Panel 3: A map of Equinox detailing Lyle and Noct's day. Their path is illustrated via orange pointed arrows starting in the middle of a grassy patch where the park is. They begin by heading south and turning west for a block, then heading north and to their left to enter Eclipse. Then they leave and head north and slightly eastward to Lyle's apartment then back westward and then north to a strip mall. Then heading south and further east, they travel further east than the park to the library at the edge of the map and then head south and then west to return to the park. Lyle: "Let's drop by Eclipse for lunch!" Noct: "Sounds nice." Lyle: "Oh! Lemme get my stuff from home- I got books to return! Noct: "'kay." Lyle: "Ah! First... Let's do some shopping over here." Noct: "W-wait." Lyle: "Aight- book time!" Noct: "L-Lyle?" Lyle: "Now let's go back to tha park!" Panel 4: Lyle cheerfully tilts their head back with arms to their side. Noct is looking noticeably winded. Lyle: "That was a nice day out~ Maybe next we-" Panel 5: Noct has fallen over and is off-panel. Lyle reaches out toward him. Noct & Lyle - Page 29 Panel 1: A close-up of a metallic game case of "Severed Paradise" surrounded by sets of other nondescript game cases. Severed Paradise is a steelbook with a pale metallic sheen adorned with a young man with brown hair and a blue striped scarf extending across the cover. A thin palm tree stands above the scarf. Phoebe's face can be seen, with her pupils dilated looking at the collectible game case with awe. Phoebe: "It's- A Severed Paradise steelbook!" Panel 2: Phoebe looks to her hand trying to pull out her wallet. She then realizes the wallet isn't there; the wallet is a transparent outline. Phoebe: "Finally! I- Where's my wallet." Panel 3: Phoebe calmly begins to leave the game store to retrieve her wallet. Phoebe's outfit is visible; she wears purple overalls and a pale purple short-sleeved shirt. She pushes the door behind her and thinks to herself. Phoebe: (In... my car... Back to the car I go-) The thought is interrupted. Panel 4: In the corner of the panel, Phoebe's ear flickers in response to something. A nondescript gray patron of the store finds the Severed Paradise case for itself. Patron: "Woah! A super-cool steelbook!" Panel 5: Believing the patron to be holding the last copy, Phoebe rushes back to her car, retrieves her wallet, and back to the store in the span of 0.2 seconds, the surroundings all a gray blur. Phoebe: (Goddammit. Back to car- is that my wallet? Let's gooooo! Gotta seize the steel-) Panel 6: Phoebe ends up at the store counter with the game case in her hand, having knocked over the ambiguous patron. The mourning dove cashier looks unamused. Phoebe: "T-the steelbook, please. Cashier: "Ma'am, you know we have multiple copies, right?"

Noct & Lyle - Page 28 Panel 1: Liam excitedly pumps his fists into the air in front of a blue background. He's wearing a teal t-shirt and readied to make new friends in the city. 'MAKING FRIENDS' is written boldly across the bottom of the panel. Panel 2: Liam, with his locs tied back wearing a desaturated lavender sleeveless shirt, sits at a table having drinks with an anthropomorphic otter woman. Liam's "friend" is blushing while Liam has a confused expression. Otter: "Hehe~ I've never been with a rabbit before!" Panel 3: On a different day, Liam sits on a park bench with a shy cream-colored anthropomorphic cat boy. Cat: "I-I've never felt this way for anyone before..." A text bubble indicates that the two of them met 3 days ago. Liam, uncomfortable with the advance, is leaning away from the cat. Panel 4: On another day, in the park with a rook-shaped fountain (from the first 5 pages of the comic), Liam sits by a gray mouse woman who's laying stomach down on the table next to him. The mouse woman is fiddling with one of Liam's locs unprompted. Liam's ears are drooped and he is noticeably pissed off. Mouse: "Your hair's so soft and curly~ Wanna come over to my place~?" Panel 5: On yet another day, Liam lays his head on a table in frustration as another potential "friend," a poodle man, elbows at him while making a flirtatious and fetishistic comment. Poodle: "They say once you go -[redacted]- ya don't go back~ Liam: "uuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh." (Liam's dialogue covers the word redacted in the poodle man's dialogue). Panel 6: Liam, now chibified, raises his arms in exasperation and wails at how every attempt to make friends led to them trying to hook up. Liam: "Why does everyone wanna fuck meeeeeee???" The aromantic-asexual flag is the background. The vibrant 'MAKING FRIENDS' across the bottom of the panel is now duller, with the 'R' beginning to fall from its place.

Lyle straddles Noct, being bottomless as his plump ass is visible, alongside his erect penis that touches Noct's bulge. Lyle has a hand caressing Noct's side under his shirt, and another put to Noct's nose and mouth in a 'hushing' motion. Noct sits back with a stoic expression betrayed by excited widened eyes, heart-shaped ahoge, and a noticeable blush. Noct only wears a green t-shirt and white underpants stretched by his erection. The room is somewhat dim, with light coming in from under a yellow curtain.

Behind him are personifications of the emotions he may be feeling behind his poker face: a happier grinning cat's face to the left and an angrier squinting cat's face to the right. Noct: "So often I notice my face doesn't show emotion." Panel 2: Noct: "And maybe it's telling the truth. Maybe I don't feel." Panel 3: A dual scene of Noct in distress sitting before a therapist and Noct and Lyle's first meeting at the art sale, calling back to the first page. The therapist is seen from behind, only shown to be an anonymous gray figure sitting in a chair and holding a clipboard. Noct: "Before we met at that art sale, my therapist - helped me realize how... off-putting I must've been." Panel 4: Back to present-day Noct sitting on the purple bench at the bus stop. He is looking aside with his head tilted to the side. Noct: "I know I look so fake and apathetic to everyone." Panel 5: Lyle begins to respond. Lyle: "Well, now that I know." Panel 6: Lyle gives a smile to Noct, their surroundings a pink haze with sparkles. Lyle: "I think your face is pretty endearing." 'Pretty' in Lyle's dialogue box is a slightly redder shade of orange.
