i made a small incremental game! no robots involved!
you've mentioned you're a bit tired of the nodebuster-style talent trees, but the characters here are more customisable.
it is pretty short, though!

Fácil de fazer, não precisa de muitos pensamentos, VAI SER VICIANTE, playthrough de algumas horas, vende por 5 dol na steam = dinheiro infinito

tal qual todos os clones de nodebuster porém sem precisar pensar numa skill tree

For real, I play less creative games but all those roguelikes and nodebuster-likes do drain my brain energy in different ways TuT

Nodebuster even, originally, had some beauty in filling out the large stylish mosaic of its skill tree. But runs of simple mouse sweeping actions that you buy every single upgrade for in a menu are not beautiful. Incrementals can be great but not when you're taking just the bad parts. BAH.

Loved Bills Must Be Paid? nailed that crunchy pressure-cooker feel. Try Incredicer, Nodebuster, and Keep on Mining! for more smart, satisfying “just one more run” chaos. #CasualManagement #BillsMustBePaid #gaming

Nodebuster gets a pass probably because it is one of the first games that did this format so people aren’t that exhausted yet.

When I played it last year I too think it’s too barebone so it prompted me to experiment with adding story to a similar format.

For shorter games i recommend Snakecremental and Nodebuster. If you want a long game i recommend Antimatter Dimensions and Synergism. Beware tho, by "long" i mean "will take multiple months to beat"

I hate that many recent incremental/idle games have taken elements from nodebuster. So many games have the short run concept from it and it sucks ass.

Nodebuster! A really nice, short & sweet skill tree builder. I liked it!

The nodebuster clone is a known and tired trope of the incremental community. Not only the game itself, but countless offshoots have already come and gone, the nodebuster formula has been thoroughly iterated upon, so now it's being unleashed on Steam en masse.

I feel like, in much the same way that I can tell when I see 3-lane branching map routes I can assume a game is (directly or indirectly) taking from slay the spire, I'm increasingly certain every game with a This is somewhere down the evolutionary line from Nodebuster

Ah, also, just to be clear, what worries me is actually not the nodebuster-likeness. That in and of itself is more or less a UI design, and that's fine, it's a nice UI that's easy to implement, no harm in that.

What worries me is everything else that comes with it.

Hello We are Starbit Studios and Independant game development team working on a new incremental minigame game! Similar to things like nodebuster, astro prospector, digseum, etc. Bellow are some screen shots from our first week of development, things like concept art and early development in engine!

Finished my entry "hold my wand." for the #GDKO and #Construct3 game jams going on. It is an incremental game blending some prior work I have done and inspiration from nodebuster. For a jam I feel that I got this pretty far! Makes me want to finish it.

Some progress on my #GDKO and #Construct3 jam entry. A nodebuster style idle progression. Features flood fill pathfinding/repulsion systems for the enemies following the elemental orbs floating around. Your attacks rotate between elements and you do / take dmg based on the combinations.

The fourth project I'd like to show is one inspired by NodeBuster which got me thinking of a an idea where there's a tower that is powered by the sun and the player gets to build some turrets/buildings on that tower to defend themselves while drawing power from the sun.

May I reccomend Nodebuster. Basically a clicker but with a very charming aesthetic and an appropriate run time of about 3 hours of escalation.

This one's a bit more involved but also a nice number go up.
