#Noirvember is here again, and my first entry is Marcel Carné's gorgeous french noir DAYBREAK, featuring a heartbreaking Jean Gabin performance. Leaps and bounds ahead of its 1947 Hollywood remake THE LONG NIGHT, Carné's craft and Gabin's class is still matchless.

#Noirvember is here again, and my first entry is Marcel Carné's gorgeous french noir DAYBREAK, featuring a heartbreaking Jean Gabin performance. Leaps and bounds ahead of its 1947 Hollywood remake THE LONG NIGHT, Carné's craft and Gabin's class is still matchless.

Una obra sublime, entre #FiódorDostoievski & #WilliamFaulkner. Una de las películas de mi vida y -desde mi punto de vista- el mejor noir francés.
