also, for those that are going to say "cannibalism", Nomlings can eat foods that are like them (like donuts) just like how wayne can eat bananas in hylics 2 despite bananas looking like him.

It's because candy canyon kingdom (nomling home) can eat other foods related to them due to evolution.
