Seperate Walkies -Seperate nosework sessions.

so for nosework today we did something different. we did combined nosework. and as you see i say “good puppies” and I pay them both on the glove not distinguishing who found it. they both get 5 treats counted out.

Eris is looking for an orange glove. These are new so they don’t have my scent on them as much as some of my older gloves, but I can see them better and -dogs don’t see orange

Throwback to Eris’s first #Nosework session. She had to find little containers with treats in them here she is putting her paws up to find this really hard one. I knew she was gonna be good at nosework. She is so awesome.

One of the breeds my family specializes in is bloodhounds, which are the only breed of dog whose nosework you can use as admissible court evidence in some states
Working dogs? Ask a farmer about their border collies.

All of the above is ok, but… there are thousand of dogs needing homes and they are of an almost infinite range of backgrounds, breeds, and circumstances. The need for dog breeding is very small. Like exceptionally small. It’s hardly necessary at all.

we both got a nosework session. we’re too good to make nosework hard in our house, and even though it is a windy night we are too good in our yard (a good search takes between 1 min and no longer than 4 minutes) these take 40 secs for Eris and 15 to 20 secs for me) we need to go to a sniff spot.

Pár momentek z Kynologického odpoledne. Pěkná akce pro děti. Pro nás premiéra, předvedly jsme dogdancing a nosework. Byly tam i "profíci" z canisterapie, velká zkušenost, jak pracovat s dětmi. Babou pochvala, že neštěkala, je to nevyzpytatelný mix teriér.
