Chestnut horse with a pale mane and white lower legs standing side-on at a local fairground in Cheshire. Wearing a dark halter, it eats from a hanging hay net beside a horsebox. Two other horses stand near a blue-and-white transport lorry in the background. Albert Clark’s Flying Fox (c. 1899). Traditional oil painting of a dark bay thoroughbred racehorse standing in profile inside a stable, facing left. The horse has a glossy brown coat, black mane and tail, and white markings on its lower legs. Straw covers the stable floor, with pale pink walls behind. A folded white blanket rests on a wooden stand to the right, and the name “Flying Fox” appears above the horse.
