There is no tight fiscal position. This is just Reeve's rubbish self imposed fiscal policy. You can't expect to resolve teacher and nurse shortages by giving them a pay cut every year for a decade, then tiny increases. We #need them, #pay them! #NotChange

The only thing performance related promotion/pay will incentivise will be meeting poorly set arbitrary targets. Private companies are not meritocratic as the highest paid jobs are often given to the least qualified people. See the Peter Principle. #NotChange @teamlabouruk.bsky.social
