Saw Superman and it was fun! Definitely a messy movie with too much stuff going on and insane pacing, but it got all of the characters right and it was just distilled hopium. Spoilers in alt text
I was honestly shocked at how much it referenced notPalestine and notIsrael. For a mainstream movie to have that kinda frank portrayal of it, it was so refreshing to see. Also Lex was great, but I kind of wish he crashed out harder. He's a shithead who doesn't care about other people to the point of murdering innocents just to get at Supes, but I did want to see a bit more of his thoughts. Really hopes he comes back in the sequel somehow. Also also wanted a bit more of the immigrant angle considering it was brought up in the press tour, but it's hardly mentioned. Felt like that kind of diaspora would come up with the parent angle they introduced, but it wasn't so it feels like a missed opportunity. Superman also is protective of all life including saving squirrels, but is okay with throwing people in black holes lol.
