Robodebt is just story after story of people nearly killing themselves. This includes me. If it wasn't for Asher hooking me up with NotMyDebt and an extremely kind and reasonable Centrelink case worker who I'm still positive was genuinely an angel sent down to help people, idk if I'd still be here.

Just finished reading Mean Streak by @squigglyrick.bsky.social Rick Morton. Altho I had some involvement in #NotMyDebt in 2017 (as a helper, not a victim), I was gobsmacked at the depths of intrigue and dishonesty involved. Some of these ppl shd be in jail now. Excellent book, must-read.

Patreon @asherwolf.bsky.social = not a guaranteed income. Asher was not the only one involved in #NotMyDebt. Blows my mind that there wasn't an outcome of the Royal Commission of those involved getting paid *something* for what they had done, which AFAIK was voluntary. #PeopleVSRobodebt
KNAUS: Asher, your work in late 2016 to amplify those voices with @not_my_debt, I remember thinking how selfless it was to do that unpaid.

Shorten also didn't act on robodebt until he saw votes in it and was able to literally steal the grassroots model of NotMyDebt. He's nobody's underclass saviour.

I will be watching but actually witnessed it on Twitter over many months as 'notmydebt' hashtag and @ were used by people desperate for and desperate to help fight back against the immoral, unethical and inhumane robodebt travesty of ScumMo and his government goons.

Big shout out to @asherwolf.bsky.social and Lyndsey Jackson, who are also featured, for the incredible work they did on #NotMyDebt. One of the key take-aways for me from the documentary was the role of the media and activists in shining light on the inappropriate #algorithm being used.
