This would be an exceptionally useful addition to my notetaking app: "Voice transcription on iOS, Android will come in another update."
Obsidian 1.15 is now available! Some highlights:
- Faster and prettier Mermaid rendering using our new engine, Pele
- Voice transcription on iOS, Android will come in another update
- PDF export on mobile
- Smarter editing for nested lists
- Suggestions are now accent insensitive: cafe matches café

This is a brilliant idea, thank you! I had Claude turn it into an actual schedule and give it a cute theme.
Now to just add notetaking functionality and this will be amazing.

I always bring a sheet of loose leaf to take notes like a good player... and they end up mostly covered in doodles.
in this case, white dragon design ideas...

I honestly like my doctor a ton, and she remembers specific things about me (mostly), and is respectful about weight AND AI notetaking, so I have no actual qualms about any of this.
We just usually interact around a specific health issue arising, not the full preventative gamut.

Okay so today we basically did the same lesson again with some added scaffolds to help them see exactly what I'm looking for when it comes to notetaking. Feels good to see kids being like, "Ohhhh now I get it." We just had to slow it down and go one step at a time.
I'm so annoyed. I've been trying to teach these kids how to take notes. Not copy everything, literally think about what is important or not and jot it down using symbols and abbreviations. I'm asking questions, no response. They are not listening because they are 100% focused on copying.

Yes. For some reason, it was embroidered on the now-somewhat-stained "Plushieliki," and I'm diligent in my notetaking for cataloging offerings. Why?

i expected to be more sad when it ended but i also have higurashi and ciconia to read. It's only been 161 hours but it feels like it went so much faster, even with all the notetaking and my meager attempts at reasoning throughout. I also have the side stories to play too if i can find them anywhere

Evernote's calendar doesn't work like most calendar apps. Some features can boost your productivity, while others may leave you wondering why they never added them.

True privacy in digital notes means the service provider cannot read your data. Look for client-side encryption using AES-256-GCM, which ensures notes are encrypted in your browser before they ever leave your device.

So why does Zoom really really want me to use their notetaking feature? Surely it can't be because it will all be ingested as the corpus of training data to their omnivorous box or sold to other LLM companies to boost their bottom line? Right?

But if they’ve already been using AI for their music, their notetaking, and all the rest of it – often through sheer ignorance of its hazards because it’s been baked into all the tools they use and presented as just another helpful tool – I don’t even know where to start beyond a blanket, “No.”

As a student I kept writing tons of notes and still struggling to retain them. So I built Mindar — import notes/PDFs/meeting recordings, search papers, then generate flashcards, quizzes and structured notes.

Instead of NaNoWriMo or Novel November or whatever the apparently corporate AI shill scam is, I'm going to write supplemental stuff for my story under the banner of "Notetaking November", and this is going to involve character, location, and terminology overviews in my story.
Will it work? Eh.
