Baffling. There are more gentle (and educational!) shows available now than to kids 30 years ago. My 4yo is obsessed with Numberblocks; when I was his age I was into Power Rangers.

My kid's media diet consists of Mrs. Rachel, Alphablocks, numberblocks, Bluey, and oddly enough Dragon Ball and One Piece. None of it is annoying and they are starting to read early, learning their times tables, copies games they see, and sing a lot. If you have a little kid can recommend I guess!

the biggest complaint about vibe mathing with ai is that counting is garbage. but today's ais were literally trained on sesame street's, numberblocks', even blue clues' arithmetic systems. you just need to unlock that knowledge with the right prompt.

My nephews are math geniuses in part because of Numberblocks! They were doing math at 6 and 4 that I couldn't do until like third grade.

By the way, if you have primary school kids struggling with maths, I recommend letting them watch Numberblocks - which teaches things like multiplication tables, division, and square roots.
