My local "TG Jones" closes today. Might seem unimportant, but besides the OAPs lining up for the Mail & Express, it was the only place to buy The Wire, Electronic Sound, Jacobin, whatever. So one more portal into a a different world - and reading - collapses, and back to the net's moronic inferno.

There's enough drivers on the UK's roads. It should be 'one out, one in'. Maximum driving age of 75. As the OAPs get pruned off the top, new drivers are let in. Numbers remain just about manageable. Public transport & cycling get boosted. Helps carbon targets. Sanity maintained.
