Yes—the Roman parallels led me to write my Garlean OC Sver inspired by the GrecoRoman myths of Arachne and the Fates.

Former Garlean officer who selected which soldier met which end. At the fall of the empire, a void drider transformed her so she may continue weaving fate.

Don’t fret precious I’m here

A lavender-skinned Garlean woman stands before you in bronze filigree armor. She moves a hand to remove a matching eye mask from her face. Her eyes have two red pupil-less irises glowing in each socket. Under dappled light, her pale lilac hair cascades down over her shoulders in undulating waves punctuated by little c-curls. In the background, pale lilac webs hang from trees. A spider leg emerges in the mid-ground, and another spider-leg in the foreground is poised above her chest. This woman is a drider, and you are near her lair.

((you begin to feel a little woozy))

Sver, a female ex-Garlean drider looks down at the viewer with a slight smug grin. Her right hand is gently cleaning the tip of one of her spider-limbs, and her left hand rests on her lower stomach. The forest around her seems to be distorting, with the trees going blurry and colors that aren't present in reality appearing at the fringes of silhouettes. "You begin to feel a little woozy," as a caption seems to imply the viewer is experiencing the effects of her venom.
