I don't think OCPD people deserve villainization, but like, if you tell people your parents are narcissists you get sympathy, if you say they're OCPD you get "what,it's bad your dad was a good person?"

my dad has OCPD, which is distinct for OCD, and when I was a teenager and he was in graduate school (for therapy) he self-diagnosed himself (almost certainly correctly, but he never actually sought confirmation or went to any kind of actual therapy for it) & admitted he caused my OCD

Drawing used to be a large part of my life, until crippling perfectionism (which I have since learned is part of my OCPD) stole the joy from me. I am starting to try and draw things that can't be "wrong," so I've started a Zen Tangle diary. 🫶🏻
