if anyone's interested, i wrote a small thing about mela's scars (or rather, the aftermath of it) today c:

(370 words)

read on tumblr: www.tumblr.com/kasarian/783...
[id: a screenshot of my writing that says; She couldn't look him in the eyes, wanting to say it but the words couldn't leave her mouth, mostly resistant "mmm"s, muttering while her mouth was shut. But Orbit's worried and patient gaze broke through her as she inhaled largely, puffing her chest as she held the air in her lungs, before bursting out, "Because I want to protect you!" Orbit's brows twitched up marginally, "Mela, you know I'm strong enough to protect-" "NO!!! You don't- I- I see you!" She's leaning into her elbows as she speaks, voice increasingly getting louder, wobbly, "With the dryads today! Town hall! When there were plants, the- the vines... you got scared..." She inhaled again. Shakier. Oh no, were those tears in her eyes...? /end id]

[ #sketch #art #OChiraya #OCmela #OCkku ]
a digital sketch of hiraya in a power pose, mostly to figure out an outfit for him. he has an open button-up white shirt that is held by this corsage looking item, and tight pants. end id. two digital sketches of mela, on the left is figuring out an outfit, and the second is her looking haunted and furious at the same time, her clothing and leaf-like hair blown by the wind as she positions her palms in a way that seems to call on powers. end id. a rough worm's eye view digital sketch of hiraya cradling an incapacitated and wounded akku. shadows are blocked in to highlight hiraya's furious expression, as well as glowing green scribbles at the tips of his hair, scales around his cheeks and at various parts of his shoulders and chest. his eyes glow the same bright green with a splash of bright red. there is also dried blood from hira's nose and a cut on his cheek and chest. end id.

hira is a hopelessly smitten man... and mela loves teasing her younger brother lol

(self indulgent comic AND first actual complete comic?? hehe :] i'll talk more in the replies!)

part one of two of a comic strip of kasarian's characters Akku, Mela and Hiraya under a meteor shower somewhere in a foresty area. This page shows Akku laughing in delight, and Mela smiling fondly at him, then she looks for her brother's reaction with a text bubble saying "Kamusta kaya si Hira..." end id. Part two of two shows that Hiraya is staring at Akku with a smitten look upon his face while his arms are crossed. the last two panels is Mela sneaking up to Hira and surprising him with an elbow and saying "just go to him you nerd!" while Hiraya is drawn comically shocked and much redder upon being caught. end id.

Repost with your first art of the year ✨

it was the first one with my intent on hiraya's de-blondification as well. turned out really damn well for my skills, and im still proud of it :]

a colored illustration mainly featuring kasarian's characters, Akku and Hiraya, as Akku sneakily pulls down Hiraya's turtleneck to kiss his neck. Hiraya sports a flustered expression, with one hand behind Akku's shoulder scrunched in surprise. The two are against a wooden wall. In the background, in another building just below the balcony the couple are upon, is a small, less detailed version of Mela, a plant humanoid, simply rests her cheek up on her palm as she exasperatedly looks above, muttering "Jusko po."
