I'm reposting my 'Dancing Trees' image for #Sharemondays2026 this week. If you're interested, please see ALT text for the story behind the image.

This image shows two trees on a foggy autumnal morning, in a pose which makes it look as if they are dancing together. I've cycled past this scene dozens of times, as it’s on a ride that I often do in the morning, I’d always thought that the interaction of the trees would make an appealing image. Fog was always the missing ingredient, but on this day, the stars aligned. I decided I’d take my camera and tripod in a backpack while on my ride, and the extra weight on the ride was worth it. The fog didn't hang around for long, dropping into the valley below, so moving fast was the key.

It wasn’t intended, but this autumnal scene reminds me of a Gustav Klimt painting.
