and finally.... NASA cuts the Office of STEM Engagement (FY26 $143M) by $143M

So yes, that means OSTEM is shut down if this goes through. This was also proposed last year and it did survive.

(To those who just submitted SciAct grants, those are funded through SMD not OSTEM).

oSTEM's 2025 Scholarship Program is offering $183k in scholarships for LGBTQ+ students in STEM. 41 scholarships ($2,500-$5,000) available for community college, undergrad, and grad students.

This is beyond cruel, especially for young folks who are going through it. Cutting off LGBTQ+ youth from specialized suicide prevention help is a death sentence disguised as bureaucracy.

Shame on every official who signed off on this. You’re not protecting children, you’re abandoning them.
