And i love a lot about Laramie! It's just weird to have an outsider identity but my kid will have an insider identity but then be an outsider to where I grew up. All very odd.

Roy Lichtenstein was a dick and the comic art he ripped off is great. You don’t need permission from art world gatekeepers and taste makers to find value in well executed lowbrow and outsider art.

The Dishonored RPG by Modiphius Entertainment drops you into the city of Dunwall or Karnaca as investigators, gang members or whatever you can imagine, with or without the aid of The Outsider and his mark.

But how well does this group TTRPG solo? Let's find out!

I’ve started the Mieville: the idea is good, its description as ‘monumental’ addresses the page count, it’s soooo looooong windeeeeeeeead! Aea Varfis-Van Warmelo is the outsider I’d like to see win. CM doesn’t need it. Should the rest even be in the race?

I know you obviously know all this better than me, just my outsider viewpoint. Sorry.

I've been thinking about politics in Northern Ireland this week. I think that if I had to explain it to an outsider, I would say that we are a country of pyromaniacs. At any moment one of us would feel the overwhelming need to burn the house down, while the rest would stare at the flames.

5 years ago today (Saturday 2nd October 2021) I was at my first post-pandemic gig - the legendary Roger Taylor live at the O2 Academy, Newcastle on the first night of his 'Outsider' UK Tour

Political (including both sides benefitting by keeping quiet), financial, corporate (eg. AI self-regulation), education, media & religious sectors.
As an outsider, even after 10+ years of this Republican ideology, the reality is hard to fathom/believe - but this is truly what ‘America’ is.Wake up!🇨🇦

A $META agent handed a YouTuber his home address after he ticked allow always instead of allow once. No outsider broke in. He agreed to everything one tap at a time, and he meant to agree to nothing. 4/5

Are they tolerated because they have close ties to the Loyalist militia/terrorist outfits? As an outsider it's always seemed strange that marching through Catholic areas basically shouting "Fuck you we own you" was an acceptable outcome of the peace process

Ummm, the history of devout religious people has not been kind to anyone considered an outsider.

I found this in my fantasy worldbuilding too; I initially had several fantasy races in all of my settings but that were basically just different flavors of human, I eventually figured "why bother?" and now just populate my settings with humans, with sprinklings of occasional outsider hybrid.

from an outsider perspective it seems obviously terrible, but honestly i can understand, on some level, why q+t people (especially those w/o a robust in-person community) would hang on to it. like maybe they've just really found a way to block out all the bad shit + stay within their circles. idk

It's fun to play a character who is like... more part of normal Dagdan society, after Dietrich had the outsider view. Like oh yeah I just worked for one of the gods for a while, we go way back.

as an outsider looking in, it's incredibly frustrating watching the discourse regurgitate & repeat every few years.

It's like chris greys blog. why are the english so afraid of direct democracy? and don't say "coz of brexit", that was a shambles, not a referendum.
One of the most popular british blogs on brexit is Chris Greys "brexit" blog.

Going for 10+ years, it's well written but as a European outsider looking in, the underlying logic is utterly bonkers and ironically, provides an insight into why the UK is still in a massive mess.

The ramble, in image.
I say "for those unfamiliar"- but its a homebrew with a small group of players, so basically everyones going to be unfamiliar and I could have considered rewording this. I'm not going to.

Yes, all of us feel lonely and out of place, and it is true that many movies and books are told from the perspective of an outsider.

But the issue isn't handing off a key decision to an outsider - if they had a genuinely open mind on the electoral system they want to choose, that would actually make sense. It's that they have made a decision, and the decision doesn't match what he's promising.

I think most if not all people feel like that. That's why there's so many songs, books etc from the outsider perspective. For example "Look at the crowd and tell me whether. All are surrounded. But none are together." (The Offspring)
