I've never seen Miyu and really have no idea what its deal is, one of those OVAs I just never got to, but the trailer looked slick

There was basically a 10 year gap between when the original show ended and when Beast Wars was released. There were OVAs and movies up through 1993, but those would've had limited US release, or at minimum I definitely wouldn't have seen them randomly on TV as a kid.

the vid being longer than both OVAs combined is wild but it shows true restraint on Quinton's part to not make it 4 hours.

My 2023+ narrative direction can be summarized as "violent horny works reminiscent of 90s anime OVAs, set in cruel worlds and with wholesome deranged queer outcasts as main characters"
I wonder if there is any market for that, esp. when it comes to web novels🤔

Qué forma tan peligrosa de reencontrarse con la nostalgia: seis OVAs y una diosa griega de regalo, suena a viaje otaku intenso.

also the TV shows were honestly like giant PR moves compared to the storylines in the OVAs and movies which are a little goofy but still clever like the light novels

That's really interesting, given the format of Glitch series feel strongly reminiscent of 90s anime OVAs in terms of releases and structure.
