Now Trump has started bombing Iran without much explanation beyond a short video released in the middle of the night. The justifications he has given about Iran’s nuclear and missile programs aren’t true (Iran hasn’t restarted enrichment and isn’t building ICBMs). This looks like regime change.
Trump has not explained his plans or objectives in Iran. He hasn’t given a speech on the subject, or briefed Congress, much less asked for congressional authorization. It is yet another Trump exercise in executive authority devoid of checks or balances. wapo.st/4aGwIQo
