Jake Wharton announced yesterday that all the Lysine projects (OkHttp, Okio, Retrofit, SQLDelight…) don’t allow contributors to use LLMs to generate code or write PR descriptions/comments.

Some fingerprint-relevant info: They use the okhttp client library, which has UA string "okhttp/4.9.1"

(this is as of apk build "20240418.0-5-g4fd1bbff-dirty", which is not the latest but it's all I have for now, until I RE the OTA mechanism...)

For anyone seeing the events that occurred at Block and think "man, I feel for them"... If you work in tech, it's gonna suck for you too. These are the people who maintained open source we all use, such as Okhttp, Retrofit, Okio, Turbine, Molecule, Paparazzi, Moshi, KotlinPoet, Java Poet, etc...

We don’t use LLM tools to develop OkHttp. For us the best way to keep the project small, secure, and simple is to write code without AI.

But the absence of HTTP/3 is noted. It's on the backlog!
