MY STATE MACHINE WORKS!
Right now i only tell it to draw Kiira's top half IF she is idle.

So when I walk and xspd != 0 it sets state to "walking" and no longer draws her top half.

I could add "if states = walking" draw top half code to the draw event!

As well as research, it will also require working closely with onground practitioners across multiple land tenures. Its a long haul so motivating the whole community needs imagination and leadership. Ringbarking was a settler image. Putting natural icons back in context could be a new vision

The other method I'm considering is to have a small set of "main states" (e.g. InAir, OnGround), and run all actual actions/substates as commands in a queue.

Substates could provide contextual input map overrides (e.g. attack1 > attack2 to continue an attack combo) to the MainState. Better? idk

Cargo documents obtained by the Movement Research Unit, a UK-based research outlet, in collaboration with Portland DSA, show that since December 2024, Sightline Intelligence in Portland, Oregon has sent at least 4 shipments of SLA-3000-0EM embedded video processing boards and associated components to Elbit Systems in Karmiel, Israel. At least one of these shipments included hundreds of parts and was transported by Challenge Airlines via New York City to Tel Aviv on flight 5C982 in December 2024. Ok this seems...promising. I am sure there is a way to optimize this (also the onGround detection is not 100%, I can see it flickering sometimes which is not great). Still buggy in areas (like whenever you hug the ramp and go straight down it, like at the beginning).
