ASLEF welcomes Chiltern Railways coming into public hands today, another step towards ending the failed fragmentation of our network.

Today West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway enter public ownership.

That means that from today half of all rail journeys that will fall under GBR’s remit are operated by publicly owned companies.
