As it's the feast of St Blaise, I've just had my throat blessed at arguably the most beautiful church in London - my old parish church and the church where I was married. #voiceover #OnceACatholic #StBlaise 🕯
The interior of a small church made of warm stone. There is an enormous stained glass window behind the simple altar. The window is flanked by wooden statues of saints. Another view of the side of the church, with several smaller stained glass windows and warm candlelight. The candles used for the blessing of throats. Two white candles are tied together with red ribbon to form a V. There are three pairs of these candles lying on a linen cloth, ready to be used.
