If you want your files to live on your machine that you own and not in Microsoft's cloud that you don't:
- OneDrive folder: select all -> right-click -> Always keep on this device. Wait for the sync.
- OneDrive Settings -> Account -> Unlink this PC.
- Settings -> Apps -> OneDrive- > Uninstall.
- OneDrive folder: select all -> right-click -> Always keep on this device. Wait for the sync.
- OneDrive Settings -> Account -> Unlink this PC.
- Settings -> Apps -> OneDrive- > Uninstall.

I cancelled my Office 365 subscription some time back and then received regular threats that my OneDrive would be deleted.
My OneDrive? The thing I didn't want to save to but Windows kept defaulting to saving there? That thing?
Anyway, OneDrive was deleted. Long live LibreOffice
