The #OneOceanExpedition is a 12-month voyage held onboard the #StatsraadLehmkuhl, a 111-year-old vessel adapted with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. The voyage aims to raise awareness & share knowledge about the crucial importance of the ocean for a sustainable future on a global scale.

Once open from melting, this year, the NW Passage is chocked with ice. The #OneOceanExpedition on board the Statsraad Lehmkuhl had to turn back.

Our PhD candidate, Eva Íñiguez, was selected to participate and embarked last month on the tall #ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl under the #OneOceanExpedition, in a summer school organised and hosted by the University of Bergen (Norway).
