The Common Council is scheduled on Nov. 4, 2026, to consider a local law that would impose a six‑month moratorium on commercial free‑standing solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage systems while the city studies zoning and safety rules. The draft includes relief provisions, a $250 filing fee, and penalties up to $1,000 per day.
