Two of the outlets we identified promote Hindu nationalism and vilify minority groups whilst receiving foreign donations or operating in ways that may be inconsistent with the Indian laws. These outlets are OpIndia and Hindu Existence.

#India : the OpIndia site is a big part of the trend of smearing journalists — it has published 300+ articles attacking news workers in just 2 years which fueled cases of cyberharassment. RSF calls for the Indian judiciary to investigate the site — and regulate online platforms.
Reminds me of how Nupur Sharma, editor of Hindu nationalist online site OpIndia, referred to noted Islamphobe and far right extremist Tommy Robinson as a “white activist”.

In response to our email on these specific articles Temu removed its ads from Sanatan Samachar and three other websites – Newstrack, OpIndia and Jaipur Dialogues – which had also published other hateful disinformation stories related to India that we pointed out to them.
