#OpenCL
OpenCL 3.1 just dropped. Khronos is tightening the spec by making SPIR-V kernels, subgroups, and integer dot products part of the core.

Also improves memory model + sync and aligns device IDs with Vulkan.

I'm old enough to remember when people looked at me oddly because I used expensive SLR graphics cards and had cards in my laptop worth more than the laptop, just to use OpenCL for election and campaign modeling. Now you're all going to die from energy and water shortages because people want FapGPT

I've recently finished writing my first tutorial for Copernicus in Houdini, building a tri planar projection in cops with opencl. I hope it's useful for someone!

Whoever said GPU acceleration only works on nVidia on Linux are a liar, OpenCL works just fine with AMD! Thank god. Timeline performance - granted, for 1080p - works pretty damn well.

TinyBVH has been updated to 1.5.6 on the main branch. This release brings two new examples:
* Minimal OpenGL / compute shader traversal example
* OpenCL TLAS/BLAS 'tinyscene' demo (see video).
Example 2 uses Lighthouse 2 scene data with materials and full GLTF animation.
