Finance staff told council that a 2025 renegotiation with processor OpenEdge (used with Tyler Cashiering) reduced discount and per-transaction fees, saving an estimated $500k–$600k annually and reversing multi-year overruns that exceeded budgets by about $1.9M over two fiscal years.

Progress Software warns of OpenEdge Authentication Gateway critical vulnerability
A critical vulnerability in Progress Software's OpenEdge Authentication Gateway and AdminServer allows attackers to bypass authentication, affecting versions up to 11.7.18, 12.2.13, and 12.8.0. The flaw, due to incorrect authentication success signaling, has been fixed in newer versions. Despite the complexity of exploiting this for deeper attacks, there's potential for remote code execution with further research.
