We've just passed Craig y Nos Castle, the former home of the opera singer Adelina Patti (after whom the Patti Pavilion in Swansea is named). It looked as though a wedding was happening. What an amazing setting for it.

Excellent production of Macbeth at the Met Opera (not Verdi's strongest, but good transition from his early to middle period). As usual, top notch singing from Kelsey, Davidsen, and Speedo Green and magnificent orchestra work. Staging was grim but appropriate, with only a couple of odd decisions
