That's what passes for optimisim w/ me! Well, that & confidence that fascism *will* fail, always has, always will. But in the meantime there's struggle. Critical to know *both* that fascism stumbles *and* that its stumbles don't yet mean its defeat. It's not a smooth system. That's one of its lies.

Amazed what Geoff Molson accepted and bought the plan Gorton was selling. A team that went from zero to heros in five years. I have not seen this level of optimisim in 35 years, and having the top prospects, drafting, and development depts in the league in 40 years.

What I observed in the last deep crisis in 2002-5: Non-Germans were more rational when judging the German economy. They might be less prone to collective story-telling.
